NBA STAR: "IF YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN ACHIEVE!"
Update:
Previously in November, I was very mesmerized to witness the team that Hasheem Thabeet was a fan of in his childhood, and now he's playing against them. Yeah, I am talkin' about the Lakers! I remember back in Tanzania when Thabeet was about 14-15 years old, I had an interview with him on my show back2back videos, he came to the studio wearing a Lakers jerzy, talking about basketball, and how much he liked Lakers... such an amazing journey seeing him growing up and now having an opportunity to play vs his beloved childhood favorite team.
So anyways, yesterday Dec 11 Memphis Grizzlies played vs. Los Angeles Clippers and ofcoz Memphis won 84 - Los Angeles Clippers 83!

SHEREHE YA MIAKA 49 YA UHURU WA TANZANIA!!!!
Pichani: Rais wa Tanzania akikabidhiwa mwenge ili kuhitimisha sherehe za uhuru leo
Tanzania obtained Independence in 1961 in what is considered one of the most peaceful transitions in African history. It was through the efforts of our forefathers and the first president Julius Kambarage Nyerere that Tanzania attained its independence. A torch was introduced as a national symbol of Independence. Before each independence day the torch is taken to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. The main idea was to assert our country's determination to inspire other African countrie's independence struggles. The torch is a beacon of hope and freedom. The policy was followed continuosly by the administration at the time and as a result, Tanzania
has managed to keep great relationships with its neighbouring countries and beyond.
From above, As part of the celebrations President Jakaya Kikwete, and Commanding Chief, inspects a guard of honor prepared by the Tanzania Peoples Defense Forces (TPDF) to mark the 49
years of Independence at National Uhuru stadium in Dar es Salaam today.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH TANZANIA'S MOST POPULAR BLOGER EVER! : ISSA MICHUZI...
Issa Michuzi: "I want to be rich and famous"...
Just recently BAB KUBWA site got a chance to have an interview with Tanzanian's most popular blogger, ISSA MICHUZI.
Ralph: How long have you been involved in Journalism? Could you tell us a little about how your career began?
Michuzi: "Well, as long as it takes - that is if being involved in journalism for a whooping 20 years is anything to write home about. It started when a friend of mine, one Abdul Amasha, gave me a Pentax Spotmatic camera as a present way back in the 1980s. I had no idea how to operate the
Single Lens Reflex camera, since up to that time I had been taking snap shots using a 126mm Agfa pocket camera that i had then. Coincidently, the Goether Institute in Dar es salaam were running an evening photography class that I joined immediately. My aim was to know ho to operate my Pentax, but I ended becoming interested in photojournalism our course’s instructor, one Tom Mweuka, was a photojournalist and most of his instructions were of that nature. As an exercise I used to take lots of pictures and processed them, some of them I sent to newspapers."
Na kuongeza, "It happened one day my photo of reggae musician Jah Kimbute made front page in the Daily News. It was such a great shot that the editors there asked me to contribute more often which I did. I guess they were happy with what they were seeing and offered me a job. I agreed and after about three years as a stringer on january 1, 1990 i was formally employed. Two years later I was sent to Berlin for advanced photojournalism course at the International Institute of Journalism and when I returned home, joined the Tanzania School of Journalism for a three-year course that I graduated in 1996. The same year I got a scholarship to attend a specialised course in digital photography (then digital photography was just taking shape and we were lucky to be some of the first students from a developing country to study digital photography. We were then using a bulky Canon camera whose software was from Kodak) in Cardiff, Wales. In a nutshell that's me and as they say the rest is history."
