STORRS, Conn. - Hasheem Thabeet cast a giant shadow over Gampel Pavilion Saturday.
Connecticut's 7-3 junior center punished Providence, scoring 15 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and tying his own school record with 10 blocked shots - the first triple double of his career - as the second-ranked Huskies rolled to a 94-61 victory.
"Today, you saw a visual picture of all the things he can do to affect the outcome of a game," UConn coach Jim Calhoun said.
